Colibri Commons is a 6-unit cohousing community on a 1/3 acre lot in the Jade District of East Portland. We are looking for other values-aligned households who are interested in joining and pre-buying a unit in our multi-racial, multi-generational cohousing community. This community is an initial concept by Khanh Pham and Hector Dominguez. This concept is in development, and we are looking for financing. COVID has impacted our project, but gave us the possibility to rethink it.
Colibri Commons consists of an existing house, plus one 4-plex and one duplex:
4 units with 3 Bedrooms 2.5 bathrooms 1275 sqft
2 units with 2 Bedrooms 1.5 bathrooms 850 sqft
Shared spaces include a common kitchen/dining area, community workshop/makerspace, a community garden, a greenhouse, and a laundry facility.
We are still looking for construction financing. Listening to feedback, we have removed the spaces between the units and created three blocks of buildings: Existing house, 4 row units and one duplex with the common area and common space (open basement).
